Winnie the Pooh - Quilt #9

Summer 2018.

A quilt for my second nephew! When I found out my sister was expecting another baby, I wasn’t quite sure what I would get the baby. I had crocheted a blanket for my first nephew, but was still undecided what to do. Walking through a local fabric store one evening, I saw the most adorable Winnie the Pooh fabrics! I knew my brother-in-law liked Winnie the Pooh when he was younger so I knew it’d be a great choice! Immediately, I made my decision, decided on a pattern, and went home with new fabrics to make a super special quilt!

I drew up the pattern for the quilt top inspired by one I had seen online. I had picked a panel for the back of the quilt and based the quilt top size on what would fit the panel backing. This quilt was also my first time making flying geese!

Check out this super adorable panel I used for the back! I can’t decide if I like the front or back better! I quilted this in straight lines with a variegated yellow thread; the same thread used in my sister’s graduation quilt. It went really well with this quilt and I thought it’d be neat to tie the two quilts together. My nephew loved the quilt and looked so precious laying on top of it!
