Quilt Ideas for the 4th of July

It’s almost time to celebrate Independence Day in America! I’ve made several patriotic quilts and I thought it’d be fun to share them all together, so you can get inspiration if you want to make one yourself!

#1 Stars and Stripes Quilt

The first patriotic quilt I made was this Stars and Stripes quilt! The pattern is by Camille Roskelley of Thimble Blossoms and I got the kit to make it several years ago from Handmade is Heartmade.This was the 14th quilt I’d made! Read my blog post all about it here.

#2 Stars and Stripes Quilt (Atlanta Braves Version)

After making one Stars and Stripes quilt, I decided to make another for a friend of mine with some Atlanta Braves fabric and coordinating solids (Kona Lipstick and White). Read my blog post all about it here.

#3 Preppy the Whale

While this one isn’t directly patriotic, the colors are, and it’s so fun for summer!! This is the Preppy the Whale pattern by Elizabeth Hartman. It’s backed in the softest whale-printed coordinating minky! I loved putting this one together and I actually made 2! Both will be up for sale, soon!

#4 Liberty Star

This one is still a work in progress, but as soon as I find the perfect backing, I’m quilting it and hanging it on my wall! This is the Liberty Star pattern by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts. I got the kit from them as well! This was my first full-triangle quilt, but I just LOVE how it turned out! It has a vintage-vibe and I love it!

#5 Perfect Union

Lastly, I have plans to make this quilt by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts. I bought the kit years ago and will sew it up hopefully soon!

#6 Take Me to the Magic

This quilt was so much fun to make! The pattern is from Stirling Quilt Co. I used some patriotic fabric called Land of Liberty from My Mind’s Eye. I quilted it with a Mickey Mouse design, too!

#7 Amara (Patriotic Version)

This is one of my patterns, and I’m itching to make it in this colorway! Just grab 6 half yards in your favorite patriotic colors, a little bit of white fabric, and have fun sewing up this nod to Americana! Grab your PDF copy of the pattern now through July 6, 2024 for $5!
