Disney 101 Dalmatians Baby Quilt - Quilt #23
Fall 2020. I love quilts and I love Disney, so a Disney quilt is so much fun for me to work on! There’s a great company, Camelot Cottons, that releases adorable Disney fabrics! I had seen Red Velvet Quilts quilting one of these on Instagram and I thought it was super cute! I drafted my own pattern and ordered the fabric!
Camelot Cottons released five different panels and coordinating prints as part of their Disney Sentimental collection. I ordered the Disney fabric first, and when it arrived, I ordered coordinating Bella Solids for the inner border and binding.
These quilt panels were always intended to be practice panels for when I (hopefully) had my longarm quilting machine. I ordered these panels in January 2019, the longarm was still a dream at that point. When it looked like that dream might become a reality, I started putting these quilt tops together. This dalmatian quilt was the first quilt that I loaded onto my longarm quilting machine!
It was the perfect quilt to practice on and it turned out beautifully! I quilted this one with the Flower Child pantograph and linen colored thread. The backing is an aqua colored minky.
