Dragons - Quilt #4

After completing the Whales Quilt, I went back to the fabric store and bought fabric for four more baby quilts using the same pattern that I did for the whales. This time though, I got flannel backings! I wanted to pick fabrics to make baby quilts for future babies of friends and I knew flannels would be super soft and snuggly - perfect for babies! I used the flannel backings as a jumping off point and pulled coordinating fabrics for the front of each quilt.

This quilt had dragons on the back of it and the colors were really vibrant and the dragons themselves were super cute! I pieced this quilt the same way that I did in this quilt. It had the same marbled fabric, but in green this time, and a fun circular blue print.

I finished this one in August 2017 and gifted it to some friends who had their first baby boy!

The quilting on this one was crosshatch lines 2” apart.
