What Did I Work on In August?

I began a new quilt! I know, I still need to work on those quilt alongs, but I couldn’t help myself!
This is an adorable fall quilt that I’ve been wanting to make and I thought now would be a good time to start! I did something new this time…
I starched my fabrics by dunking them in a bucket of starch and hanging them outside to dry. They’re super stiff and I’m excited to see how this affects my piecing for this quilt. Is it easier to sew? Does the quilt turn out squarer? We’ll see!
I’m using the super cute Kitty Corn fabric by Urban Chicks!
